Wedding and event design for people looking for something a little less conventional

Rustic, earthy, vintage…whatever you choose, it’ll be uniquely yours and a mirror-image of your imagination

Even if you’ve got a thousand ideas and a mood board of inspiration ready and waiting, it takes up a lot of brain space planning how everything should look.

I can’t lie, I know this from experience. Planning my own wedding is definitely an eye-opener. I am enjoying the process of doing it for myself, but it’s my job, after all.

We’ll work together to create the day of your dreams, using my creative mind and industry experience with your excitement and unique ideas. A match made in heaven, because this is your special day, not mine. I’ll offer my guidance and advice where needed.

If the only idea you’ve got is a feeling or a few colours you want your day to have, then leave me to it.

Your memorable day will be tastefully and mindfully created, with nature at its heart and as many ribbed vintage glasses as you want.

How it works

  1. After you reach out, we’ll have a 1-hour discovery call to get to know each other and make sure we get on!

  2. I’ll create a free, no-strings moodboard with inspirational images and a colour palette to set the tone and make sure the vision for the day is exactly as you want it.

  3. With this moodboard I create a budget with rough estimated costs. If you decide to work with me (and there’s absolutely no pressure to do so), we’ll take a trip to your venue if it’s one I’ve never worked at before, and walk through the day from start to finish. This is also a great time to share any more ideas you’ve had or any changes of heart about the colours of the flowers. It happens! If I know the venue, I’ll just crack on with the design proposal.

  4. Here’s where it gets even more exciting. I’ll begin work on your entirely bespoke design proposal and budget. It’ll have rough sketches so you can visualise exactly what the props and decorations will look like, as well as a description of how each area will come together.

  5. I’ll then go through the proposal and budget with you, where you can add or remove things – because I’m not here to give you a proposal you can’t afford. So if you don’t want the extra set of napkins, you can remove them. Be as honest as you like.

This is also when I’d let you know of any additional costs for suppliers to help achieve the look and feel your heart wants.

After that, the official budget is provided as part of your design proposal.

Your event will be designed with you and the planet in mind

Even if you know nothing about sustainability, don’t worry. I’ll cover everything so that your event or wedding is gentle on the planet.

  • The flowers are from local farmers/growers who make the bouquets and buttonholes (it’ll all be perfectly matched!)

  • My florist uses buckets of seasonal flowers and foliage from the farmers for the displays.

  • I also try to use fresh plants/foliage foraged from my family's farm as much as I can depending on the season.

  • I’ve got a stash of props and decorations for you to use, and I’m open to chatting about purchasing other props if I’ve got the storage space – so you don’t have to think about buying a prop once and then chucking it after.

  • All my trusted suppliers are local or green-focused.

  • Plastic decorations…hmm, I don’t think I’ve ever used them and I’m not about to start.
